The Nicole Nichols Legacy Foundation was founded in honor of Nicole Lee Nichols' life and passion for nursing. Nicole, a multi-award winning RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant), always continued educational growth within her career. The Nicole Nichols Legacy Foundation strives to continue that legacy of never ending passion for education within the medical field by presenting Board selected adult learner students who meet the criteria of application with scholarship for their studies.

Why Zero Waste

To the community Nicole Nichols was a devoted nurse. In 2016 she was the Betty Apple Excellence in Nursing award recipient and recognized in the March of Dimes as an “outstanding nurse” with “exceptional patient care, compassion, and service”. To her family and friends, Nicole Nichols is the daughter, sister, aunt, and friend that everyone looks for. Nicole was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Beth and Bob Nichols who resided in Marlow and ultimately called Duncan, Oklahoma "home." She had two fur babies named Blaze and Lily. She was an avid OSU fan but went to OU for her nursing degree (it is what it is). If you ask her family, she was a beast at any family game and dominates at Sequence. Shemar Moore was her future husband (he just didn’t know it). She absolutely adored her nieces and nephews Shylah, Zoë, Kylan & Isaiah. She loved to vacation with cruises always being a first pick. She had a dream of going to every baseball stadium in the US. The Nicole Nichols Legacy Foundation was created in her honor after her passing in February, 2021.

Keith served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his daughter and grandkids, and volunteer work. He also enjoyed chasing Oklahoma thunderstorms and got his nickname "Cool Ray". He volunteered at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, OK for 20+ years. He was also a lake camp post at Lake Murray for 5 years. Keith volunteered with the Foundation and always gave a helping hand with anyone he came across. In his honor, we'd like to honor his volunteerism by recognizing an outstanding volunteer within our community. This award is presented each year at the Annual Gala. To nominate a volunteer please email us at nicolenicholslegacy@gmail.com with the nominees name, phone number, name of the establishment where they volunteer at and why you are nominating them.
